The best Honduran grains come from the Marcala region. It was also the first to obtain a trademark of origin. Local farmers carefully select and sort them. They are often ripened at high altitudes and it is there that they acquire their unique flavour and aroma. So how does it taste? Look for a subtle caramel flavour in the cup, complemented by pleasant bitter notes. It is the bitterness that makes the light freshness of the grapefruit stand out better. The flavour profile is overall perfectly balanced with only minimal acidity.
