The best-selling tablet brands in the Czech and Slovak Alza stores in terms of operating system, are ASUS, Apple and Samsung. Alza customers are basically reflecting worldwide results, with the best-selling OS being Android (75%), followed by iOS (24%) and then Windows (1%). The best rated tablets according to the user experience of Alza customers are Apple and Samsung. Tablets with poor user feedback, receiving the imaginary thumbs down, were generally categorized as "cheap", costing less than €120. Alza recommend this is taken into consideration when choosing a device.
"2014 is already illustrating increased interest in tablets running with Windows OS and devices with larger displays. There is also strengthening demand for 2-in-1 convertible devices that combine the mobility of a tablet with the performance of a notebook, and offer simple operation via touch screen or detachable keyboard. Customers preferring smaller devices are looking towards phablets that combine features from smartphone and tablets. Sales for both phablet and 2-in-1 devices are gradually increasing, following trends set by conventional smartphones and tablets." said Jakoubková.
