Alza.cz had a very successful year. Most of the turnover still comes from the traditional IT commodities. Nevertheless, there has been an enormous increase of interest in the household equipment – televisions and white goods, and the sales of electronic licenses and toys also took off like a rocket. The total number of branches increased to 33. We also extended and modernized our showroom in Prague Holešovice and opened a unique service of AlzaDrive. Alza.cz became the winner of three main prices on the Czech Internet – Shop of the Year 2012, Křišťálová Lupa 2012 and MasterCard Retailer of the Year 2012 – category of Internet Retailers. In the running year, the company turnover increased by 13.5 % to the total CZK 7.651 billion and Alza.cz handled more than 2.5 million orders.
“The Internet environment is a turbulent field and business planning in this area is not an easy discipline. Therefore we are very pleased that most steps taken in Alza are welcome by our customers. We are trying to increase the quality of services constantly and we are glad that we are successful at it,” says Jaromír Řánek, Marketing Director of Alza.cz a.s.
Thanks to good cooperation with suppliers, Alza.cz managed to cover the needs of the market efficiently and the results achieved were also boosted significantly by the fact that customers could choose from a wider and wider offer of tablets, ultrabooks, electronic readers and smart televisions. Alza.cz also introduced in the market many awaited novelties, including Samsung Galaxy III, Windows 8, awaited gaming hit Diablo 3, Apple iPad Mini and many others.
The main goal Alza.cz has set for 2013 is further increasing of customer satisfaction. Besides that, the company will focus even more on closer cooperation with suppliers with the aim to prepare many new interesting products and even lower prices for its customers.
