The ROG CROSSHAIR X870E APEX is an ATX motherboard with an AMD X870E chipset, designed for AMD Ryzen desktop processors for the AMD AM5 socket and is ready for AI PC builds. It supports DDR5 memory with overclocking up to 9600MHz in two DIMM slots in Dual Channel mode, with a maximum capacity of 128GB and DIMM Fit, DIMM Fit Pro, and AEMP technologies. The board includes five M.2 slots, three of which are on-board 2280 slots supporting PCIe 5.0 x4, and two 22110 slots supporting PCIe 4.0 x4 via the ROG DIMM.2 card. The ROG Memory Fan Kit provides cooling for demanding overclocking. Connectivity includes WiFi 7, Realtek 5Gbps Ethernet, two USB4 Type-C ports, two front-panel USB 20Gb/s USB Type-C connectors, and integrated USB 4.0.

AI Overclocking enables faster and smarter tuning. AI Cooling II balances the thermal and acoustic properties of any PC build with a single click. AI Networking II combines technologies that optimise network performance, provide a reliable connection, and unlock the speed of WiFi 7. Advanced overclocking and cooling features
Dynamic OC Switcher boosts CPU performance and lets you set current and temperature thresholds to automatically switch between manual overclocking for demanding multi-threaded tasks and Precision Boost Overdrive for single-threaded tasks. Core Flex allows you to control clocks, power, and thermals in new ways. The board is equipped with an integrated clock generator that separates the processor's base clock from the memory, PCIe, and Infinity Fabric speed. PBO Enhancement increases current and voltage delivery to the CPU for higher performance. WiFi 7 offers a 320MHz wide 6GHz band, 4096 QAM with ASUS WiFi Q-Antenna.
