Speed and frequency bands
This quad-band router uses four separate high-capacity frequency bands for data transmission. Speeds reach up to 11524Mbps on the 6GHz band, up to 5764Mbps on each of the two 5GHz bands, and up to 1376Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. The wireless technology uses efficient 4096-QAM modulation for denser signal encoding and supports an ultra-wide 320MHz bandwidth. MU-MIMO, OFDMA and Beamforming technologies ensure a stable connection by directing the signal.
ASUS ZenWifi BQ16 mesh system for stable coverage
The system uses AiMesh technology with artificial intelligence algorithms to create a unified network throughout your home. Two units can cover an area of up to 743m², eliminating dead zones without the need to switch networks as you move between rooms. The Multi-Link Operation function automatically aggregates or switches traffic between the 6GHz, 5GHz, and 2.4GHz bands to achieve low latency. You can easily expand the network by adding other compatible ASUS routers.
Security and parental control
Home network protection is provided by the commercial-grade AiProtection Pro security system from Trend Micro. The device supports modern WPA3 encryption, integrates a firewall, and offers advanced parental controls with content filters based on children's age. The Smart Home Master function lets you create up to three separate SSIDs, making it easy to isolate IoT devices or set up a dedicated children's network. For secure remote connections, it supports VPN protocols including WireGuard.
WiFi system connectivity
A set of high-speed Ethernet ports handles the physical connection of the device to the internet and the local network. The design includes one 10Gbps WAN/LAN port, one 10Gbps LAN port, one 1Gbps WAN/LAN port, and two 1Gbps LAN ports. The rear panel also features an interface for connecting external drives or for mobile tethering via 4G LTE and 5G networks in case of a primary internet outage.
