The Auraton Aquila Set wireless thermostat regulates indoor temperature and controls connected heating systems. This thermostat uses wireless communication and replaces the older Auraton 200 RTH version. It transmits signals via radio waves on a stable 868MHz frequency. The device independently controls the temperature in rooms without the need to install connecting cables between the thermostat and the boiler. The complete set includes a room controller and an Auraton RT receiver, which supports both potential-free and voltage outputs.

Wireless communication and range
Radio waves on a 868MHz frequency transmit the signal between the room thermostat and the receiver. In a standard building with typical walls, the range of this wireless connection is approximately 30m. In open spaces, the transmitter communicates over a distance of up to 300m, making it easy to place the device even in larger properties. This wireless transmission eliminates the need for structural modifications and chasing walls to lay wires, simplifying installation in finished interiors.
Functions
The device offers an all-day operating cycle with the option to activate night-time temperature reduction. This mode automatically lowers the set temperature by 3°C for 6 hours at the same time each day to optimise energy consumption. Users set the desired values on the backlit LCD display, which shows the current temperature, temperature unit, an indicator for the temporary temperature reduction mode, and the battery status. The controls are designed for maximum clarity.
Power and operating parameters
The room temperature controller is powered by two AAA 1.5V batteries, which are part of normal operation. The receiver requires a connection to a 230V AC, 50Hz mains supply. The entire system operates safely within a temperature range of 0 to +45°C and measures temperatures from 0 to 35°C. The regulation and measurement accuracy is +/- 0.2°C to maintain stable conditions in the room. The temperature setting range is from 5 to +30°C.
Receiver
The RT receiver switches a voltage from 0 to 230V with a potential-free contact at a load of up to 16A. Its design allows for installation directly onto an electrical installation box, keeping the cables hidden. Buttons on the front simplify the process of pairing the two parts of the set, and an audible signal confirms a successful connection. The receiver includes LEDs to check the operating status and offers the option to be switched off completely.
Frost protection and safety
The integrated FrostGuard function protects the heated property from damage caused by cold and a freezing system. If the room temperature drops below a critical level, the system automatically activates the connected heat source. The IP20 rating certifies its safe use in indoor spaces without direct contact with running water. This safety feature works independently of the current settings and protects pipes and heating elements when you're away.
Thermostat installation
The ivory-coloured room controller includes a built-in stand, which allows for stable placement on a table or shelf. Alternatively, it can be surface-mounted directly onto a wall in the reference room. The thermostat's compact dimensions of 70×70×14.5mm make it easy to integrate into your living space without disrupting the decor. Thanks to wireless technology, the user can easily move the device as needed and measure the temperature wherever it is required.
