The Baofeng UV-82/5W handheld dual-band two-way radio (VHF/UHF) for commercial and private use features a CTCSS function that ignores unwanted calls from specific people or groups on the same frequency, so you can communicate only with a specific person or group. The TOT (Time-Out Timer) function sets a time after which the transmission is automatically interrupted, preventing a user from blocking a channel for a long time, for example by accidentally holding down the PTT button. The BCL (Busy Channel Lock-out) function blocks transmission on an occupied channel, preventing others from interfering on the same frequency band while communication is in progress.
