GOOWEI ENERGY OTL series DEEP CYCLE gel traction batteries are the result of many years of experience in the battery field. In cooperation with the manufacturer, emphasis was placed on the high quality of the materials used (lead purity), a long cycle life (extra-thick cell grids), and maximum reliability and safety in operation. These are sealed lead-acid batteries in a VRLA design. Hybrid GEL technology means that the electrolyte is solidified in a hybrid gel (a combination with AGM), binding it firmly inside the battery cells and thus preventing any leakage. The extra-thick cell grid ensures high cyclical resistance, making these batteries ideal for applications where frequent and deep discharging (cycling) occurs. The OTL series batteries are also suitable for stationary applications, where they serve as backup power sources in 'STAND BY' mode. They are particularly suitable where power outages are frequent or where batteries are deeply discharged. The optimal lifespan for 'STAND BY' mode is stated as 10–12 years, which corresponds to the 'LONG LIFE' category of stationary batteries.
