The GOOWEI ENERGY OTL series of DEEP CYCLE gel traction batteries are the result of many years of experience in the battery field. In collaboration with the manufacturer, the emphasis was placed on high-quality materials (lead purity), long cycle life (extra-strong cell grids) and maximum operational reliability and safety. These are sealed VRLA lead-acid batteries. The hybrid GEL technology means that the electrolyte is solidified in a hybrid gel (a combination with AGM), binding it firmly inside the battery cells and preventing any leakage. The extra-strong cell grid ensures high cyclical resistance, making these batteries ideal for applications involving frequent and deep discharging (cycling). The OTL series batteries are also suitable for stationary applications, where they serve as backup power supplies in 'STAND BY' mode. They are particularly suitable where power outages are frequent or where the batteries are deeply discharged. The optimal lifespan for 'STAND BY' mode is stated as 10–12 years, which corresponds to the 'LONG LIFE' category of stationary batteries.
