GOOWEI ENERGY OTL series – DEEP CYCLE gel traction batteries are the result of many years of experience in the battery field. In cooperation with the manufacturer, emphasis was placed on the high quality of the materials used (lead purity), a long cycle life (extra-strong cell grids) and maximum operational reliability and safety. These are sealed VRLA lead-acid batteries. Hybrid GEL technology means that the electrolyte is solidified in a hybrid gel (a combination with AGM), binding it firmly inside the battery cells and preventing any leakage. The extra-strong cell grid ensures high cyclic resistance, which makes the batteries ideal for applications involving frequent and deep discharging (cycling). The OTL series batteries are also suitable for stationary applications, where they serve as backup power sources in 'STAND BY' mode. They are particularly suitable where power outages are frequent or where the batteries are deeply discharged. The optimal service life for 'STAND BY' mode is stated as 10–12 years, which corresponds to the 'LONG LIFE' series of stationary batteries.
