How to use the QUIXX windscreen repair kit correctly
Using the QUIXX repair kit is not difficult, but it is necessary to start as soon as possible. Follow these 4 steps:
- Preparation- Protect the windshield from direct sunlight. Before starting the repair, clean the damaged area of the windscreen with a dry paper towel and remove any glass residue.
- Application- Place the applicator base over the damaged area so that the opening is directly over the entry point and screw in. Make sure the rubber seal is stuck to the windscreen, otherwise the resin will leak. Now you can fill the container with resin and check that enough layer has been applied.
- Fixing- Release the pressure piston to allow trapped air to escape. Add more resin and seal again. Leave on for 4-6 minutes. For better penetration of the resin, you can use a hair dryer to warm the glass slightly.
- Cure- Apply a drop of resin, cover it with curing film and let it cure in the sun or under UV light (about 5-10 minutes). Then remove the foil and scrape off the excess resin with a razor blade.

Note:
The repair is feasible if the crack is no more than 2.5 cm in diameter.
The damage must not be less than 10 cm from the outer edge of the windscreen.
