TECMATE OPTIMATE Solar 80W

The TECMATE OPTIMATE solar charger is designed for charging lead-acid, maintenance-free MF, gel and AGM batteries with a capacity of 15–240Ah. The solar charger and controller together form a pulse charger with an output pulse current of 3–5A. The solar panel is weather-resistant. It charges and maintains a 12V battery during the day and monitors its status at night, displaying it every 3 seconds on an easy-to-read LED panel. The charger also works in low sunlight.

Charging and Monitoring in One

The TECMATE OPTIMATE solar charger charges batteries from just 1V thanks to its pulse action. The charger features smart charging technology, which automatically chooses between pulse and continuous charging depending on the intensity of the sunlight. If the battery is sufficiently charged, the charger selects optimisation mode. During the night, the smart controller turns into a battery monitor and tracks the battery status. It then displays this on the LED display every 3 seconds. In monitoring mode, the TECMATE OPTIMATE 80W charger draws less than 0.5mA. When the sun starts shining sufficiently, the charger automatically switches to charging mode.

Installing the TECMATE OPTIMATE Solar Charger

The controller is separate from the solar panel. It can therefore be placed near the vehicle or battery for easy monitoring of the battery status or its charging. The solar panel must be installed so that it can absorb as much sunlight as possible.
