The Tecsun PL-606 pocket scanning receiver with a frequency range of 0.153–108MHz allows you to comfortably listen to radio stations from all over the world. The device uses DSP technology with a Si4734 microchip (from Silicon Labs in the USA), which serves to digitise the analogue signal baseband (FM/MW/SW) through modern software technologies. This ensures higher sensitivity, selectivity, and S/N ratio, while maintaining a low level of signal interference. The Tecsun PL-606 also boasts an advanced tuning function with the option of temporarily storing stations in the ETM memory, which you will appreciate especially when travelling. Up to 550 stations can be stored in the receiver's memory (100 for each MW/FM and LW frequency and 250 positions for SW), which you can tune automatically or manually using the rotary knob. The built-in 50mm speaker allows for comfortable listening to your favourite stations, or you can use the included stereo headphones with a 3.5mm connector. The receiver is powered by 2 rechargeable AA batteries (not included) or an external mini USB mains adapter (5V). The package also includes a protective cover and an additional telescopic antenna.

One of the advantages of the Tecsun PL-606 scanning receiver is its innovative tuning method, which allows you to automatically search for new stations and temporarily store them in the ETM memory without overwriting currently stored stations. You will appreciate this technology especially when travelling abroad or away from your usual location. The ETM function can also be used to create time-specific ETM memories, which is useful in cases where radio stations (FM, MW, and SW) are only available during a certain time period, for example at night.
Easy Control with Buttons and Display
The Tecsun PL-606 features simple button controls and a clear backlit display that shows the time, signal strength, temperature, battery status, and other data in addition to the tuned frequency. There is also a sleep timer option to automatically turn off the receiver in the range of 1 to 120 minutes and an alarm function with a snooze option (1–90 minutes). You will also appreciate the practical stand, which allows the device to be placed on a table, etc. The keypad can be easily locked for added security.
