The VARTA lead-acid leisure battery uses a liquid electrolyte and differs from standard flooded starter batteries mainly due to its reinforced electrode grids, which achieve greater durability during cyclic discharging. It features PowerFrame grid technology for a longer lifespan, stable performance, and minimised corrosion throughout its service life. The battery's durable, more robust construction allows for standard installation options, with central degassing and spark protection, and must be used outside the passenger compartment. It has medium resistance to vibration, tilting, and spillage. Suitable for seasonal use and less demanding applications, it is ideal for older motorhomes, caravans, and boats. The battery is suitable for both powering electrical systems and starting engines (short-term high current draws).
