Avilut Ginkgo Recordati is a food supplement containing the carotenoids Lutein 13mg and Zeaxanthin 3mg. It also contains active substances such as Ginkgo biloba, Rutin, Aescin, Vitamin E, Zinc and Copper. Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. The carotenoids, lutein and zeaxanthin, are a natural part of the body (in the form of yellow-orange pigments). The decrease in the amount of lutein and zeaxanthin is caused by a low proportion of vegetables in the diet and naturally begins to manifest in people over 50 years of age. Smokers and people exposed to a polluted environment are a particular at-risk group.
