The advanced AXAGON ADS-1PQN active USB converter easily expands your computer with an RS 232 standard serial port. By using an original, award-winning chip from the Scottish company FTDI, it boasts the highest level of compatibility among USB to serial RS232 adapters.

The permanently attached 1.5m USB-A cable is suitable for use with both desktop computers and laptops. The cable has gold-plated connectors and contacts, and the highly durable adapter body is also suitable for industrial applications. The transmitted signals are protected from adverse interference by double shielding.

The converter is the ideal computer accessory for connecting barcode readers, POS printers, scanners, microcontroller programmers, CNC machines, modems, or for updating or configuring set-top boxes, security devices, switches, two-way radios, and other equipment.
