The fast AXAGON EEM2-20GD CLONE MASTER external enclosure with a 20Gbps USB interface serves as a powerful external storage solution for two M.2 NVMe SSDs simultaneously. Powerful USB-C enclosure for two M.2 NVMe SSDs

With the help of the AXAGON EEM2-20GD external enclosure, you can easily clone NVMe drives at speeds of up to 20Gb/s. Insert the source M.2 drive into the first station slot (Slot A) and the target M.2 drive into the second slot (Slot B). Then, simply hold down the clone button, press it to confirm the cloning process, and monitor the progress on the scale with four LEDs.

External enclosure allows data duplication with a single finger

Once cloning is complete, an exact copy of the original drive is created on the target drive. The AXAGON EEM2-20GD enclosure also serves as a standalone device for convenient duplication and creating disk images. This is a very simple way to transfer the contents of one SSD to another, including a functional Windows, macOS, or Linux operating system.

Work with two NVMe drives simultaneously

The enclosure's design allows you to connect both inserted NVMe M.2 drives to a laptop with a single cable. They appear in the system as two separate drives that can be worked with independently or simultaneously. When using two drives, you can also set up a software RAID for enhanced data protection in both Windows and macOS. To configure this, use the "Storage Spaces" tool in Windows or the "RAID Assistant" in macOS Disk Utility.

Speeds up to 20 Gb/s and support for UASP, TRIM, and S.M.A.R.T.

To achieve the maximum transfer speed, the controller of the connected device must be compatible with USB 20Gbps. The external M.2 enclosure also supports modern features like UASP, TRIM, and reading S.M.A.R.T. information to monitor the drive's health. During prolonged inactivity, it switches to a power-saving mode to help conserve energy. The enclosure can accommodate single-sided and double-sided M.2 SSDs in three lengths: 42, 60, and 80 mm. The capacity of the SSDs is not limited.

Practical drive ejection with protection against opening

A mechanical lock on the front panel protects the enclosure from accidental opening. After sliding the lock to the unlocked position, simply push the front part, and the internal module will automatically eject. This allows for quick and convenient drive swapping, which you will appreciate when migrating data or testing drives.

The AXAGON EEM2-20GD has an aluminium body and active cooling for demanding operations

The enclosure's aluminium body, along with thermal pads, effectively dissipates heat from the inserted M.2 SSDs. Cooling is also supported by an active fan, which ensures continuous airflow inside the device. This helps the AXAGON EEM2-20GD enclosure maintain an optimal operating temperature even under long-term load, such as during cloning or transferring large volumes of data. The risk of overheating and drive slowdown due to "Thermal Throttling" is thus minimal, which helps stabilise performance and extend the lifespan of the SSD.
