Azelastine COMOD belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. Antihistamines work by preventing the effects of substances such as. histamine, which the body produces as part of an allergic reaction. It has been shown to relieve eye inflammation. The product can be used to treat and prevent eye problems that occur with hay fever and can also be used to treat eye problems caused by allergies to substances such as. house dust particles or animal hair. Azelastine COMOD is not suitable for the treatment of eye infections.
Dosage and method of use
Eye problems caused by hay fever: Unless otherwise prescribed by a physician, adults and children 4 years of age and older take one drop of the product in each eye twice daily (morning and evening).
Eye problems caused by allergies:
Unless otherwise prescribed by a physician, adults and children 12 years of age and older take one drop of the product in each eye twice daily.
Contraindications
Do not use Azelastine COMOD if you are allergic to azelastine hydrochloride or any other ingredient in this product, or if you wear contact lenses.

Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use Azelastine COMOD after the expiry date stated on the label and on the box after "Use by: "". The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. After opening: If stored properly, Azelastine COMOD can be used for up to 12 weeks after first opening.
Do not use this product if you notice that the cap of the box has been damaged before first use. Do not store at temperatures above 25 °C. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer need. These measures help protect the environment.
