The story of the Beefeater brand began in the mid-19th century. Even back then, its founder, James Burrough, was a true visionary. In addition to liqueurs and punches, he also produced fruit gins, which are incredibly popular today. Take the orange gin, for example, whose recipe first saw the light of day in 1876. Burrough personally selected the best oranges from London's famous Covent Garden market and created an exceptional treat. The creators of Beefeater Blood Orange Gin were inspired by his recipe. To the traditional ingredients like juniper berries, lemon and Seville orange peel, almonds, coriander seeds, liquorice root, orris root, angelica root, and angelica seeds, they added the bold aroma of juicy blood oranges. This gives the classic Gin & Tonic a whole new dimension. But Beefeater Blood Orange also pairs beautifully with citrus lemonades or flavoured tonics, such as elderflower.
