Precise drying with lower energy consumption
Put that tea towel back in the drawer. The BOSCH SMD8TCX04E dishwasher has PerfectDry technology, which dries your dishes using the natural mineral Zeolith. Zeolith absorbs moisture from the wash phase, converts it into warm, dry air and then uses it during the drying phase. This means your dishes are immediately dry and ready to be put straight into the cupboards without any wiping. Energy consumption during this process is low.
Hygienically tested BOSCH dishwasher
In the BOSCH dishwasher, viruses such as corona or flu are effectively eliminated even with the Eco 50°C programme, as tested by the Institute for Integrative Hygiene and Virology (Hygiene Level 1 label). An even higher level of hygiene can be achieved by using higher temperature programmes in the BOSCH dishwasher, which are also effective against more resistant viruses, including enveloped and non-enveloped viruses. In BOSCH dishwashers, the Intensive 70°C programme and the Machine Care maintenance programme meet these criteria (Hygiene Level 3 label).
Control your Bosch dishwasher from anywhere
Enjoy a smart home. Using Home Connect technology, you can control the BOSCH SMD8TCX04E dishwasher from anywhere with the mobile app. Conveniently set a wash programme, use the appliance's remote diagnostics, or get recommendations for the right programme for your dishes. The app also features a tablet counter so you never forget to buy more tablets. For an enhanced user experience, the app is supplemented with notifications that inform you when the dishwasher has finished, for example. Thanks to its compatibility with Amazon Alexa, you can also control the dishwasher by voice.
OpenAssist
With the OpenAssist function, you can open the fully integrated dishwasher simply by pressing the front panel of the appliance. This partially opens the door, so you can easily load or unload dishes. A dishwasher without a handle on the door is the optimal choice for modern kitchens with matching front panels. In addition to being stylish, such a dishwasher is also very user-friendly.
TFT display
The colour TFT display uses images and easy-to-read text to provide information about wash cycles and selected functions, the progress of the washing process, the remaining time, and much more. Practical instructions guide users through the wash cycles and offer useful information on the best way to use the dishwasher and how to save water and energy. In addition, the display shows the amount of salt and rinse aid.
Favourite programme at the touch of a button
Save a combination of your most-usedprogramme and additional function. The selected setting can be started at any time with a single touch.
ActiveWater technology
We designed the ActiveWater system to wash your dishes really thoroughly, while minimising the use of resources. Instead of simply using more water, it uses it more efficiently. Thanks to targeted spraying, rapid circulation and advanced filtration, our dishwashers achieve hygienically clean and sparkling dishes. Thanks to this efficient design, we achieve these results with less water consumption and therefore less energy to heat it.
Quiet operation
Dishwashers with a SilentPowerDrive provide efficient washing at a low noise level. They are equipped with a brushless motor designed for energy-efficient operation. The motor helps to reduce friction noise and contributes to the smooth and quiet operation of the appliance.
Harness the full power of detergents
The correct dosage of detergent is important for an optimal wash result. The Dosage Assist on the BOSCH SMD8TCX04E dishwasher ensures that the detergent dissolves completely in a special tray at the top of the basket. A targeted jet of water uses the detergent evenly, controlledly and quickly throughout the interior of the dishwasher. The result is a more efficient and quieter wash.
The Bosch dishwasher can handle even caked-on dirt
The Bosch SMD8TCX04E dishwasher has a particularly useful Extra Clean Zone feature that washes the dishes in the upper basket really intensively. Three rotating water jets provide more intensive soaking. What the jets don't do, however, is add more detergent or use a higher water temperature than is really necessary.
Variable dish loading
Loading dishes into the dishwasher is now much easier. The adaptable Max Flex Pro baskets allow you to easily stack all types of dishes and ensure they are securely held. Thanks to the improved sliding system, loading and unloading the dishwasher is smooth and easy. If you need even more space, the BOSCH SMD8TCX04E dishwasher is equipped with a VarioDrawer Pro pull-out cutlery drawer, which adds an extra storage level at the top of the dishwasher. This makes filling the dishwasher much easier and increases its capacity. It is the ideal place for cutlery and small kitchen utensils such as ladles, whisks or espresso cups. This drawer replaces the cutlery basket in the lower basket, leaving you more space at the bottom of the dishwasher.
AquaStop protection against water damage
Every Bosch appliance is meticulously checked against strict quality, performance and sustainability standards. All Bosch dishwashers have the AquaStop system and a lifetime guarantee against water damage, as well as a ten-year guarantee against rust-through of the dishwasher's inner casing. *
