The Bosch dishwasher does even more with Home Connect
If you connect your Bosch SMU4ECS28E dishwasher to the smart Home Connect technology, you'll find it even easier to control and gain access to many advanced features. The Home Connect app with Easy Start will recommend the right washing programme directly from your mobile or tablet. You don't even have to think about how many washing tablets you have left, the Home Connect app will count them for you. You'll also appreciate the remote diagnostics option, which allows Bosch customer service to check your dishwasher over the internet using your mobile device. Thanks to its compatibility with Amazon Alexa, you can also control the Bosch SMU4ECS28E dishwasher with your voice. Or simply watch the notifications on your phone to know how soon your dishes will be washed. Smart support, smart solutions, that's Home Connect.
Flexible baskets for greater convenience
Bosch basket systems adapt perfectly to all your needs, providing exceptional stability and innovative space utilisation options. Thanks to the folding tines and shelves, they can also hold bulky items including pots and pans. The upper basket can also be height-adjusted. If you need even more space, the Bosch SMU4ECS28E is equipped with a VarioDrawer pull-out cutlery drawer, which adds an extra storage level at the top of the dishwasher, making it much easier to load and increasing its capacity. It's the ideal place for cutlery and small kitchen utensils such as ladles, whisks or espresso cups. This drawer replaces the cutlery basket in the lower basket, leaving you more space at the bottom of the dishwasher.

Hygienically tested BOSCH dishwasher
In a BOSCH dishwasher, viruses like corona or flu are effectively eliminated even with the Eco 50°C programme, as tested by the Institute for Integrative Hygiene and Virology (Hygiene Level 1 label). An even higher level of hygiene can be achieved if you use higher temperature programmes in your BOSCH dishwasher, which are effective against more resistant viruses, including enveloped and non-enveloped viruses. In BOSCH dishwashers, the Intensive 70°C programme and the Machine Care maintenance programme meet these criteria (Hygiene Level 3 label).

ExtraDry function
Activating the optional ExtraDry function dries your dishes extra thoroughly with higher temperatures during the rinse cycle and a longer drying phase – all at the touch of a button.
Economical and quiet dishwasher
Dishwashers with a SilentPowerDrive provide efficient washing at a low noise level. They are equipped with a brushless motor designed for energy-efficient operation. The motor helps to reduce friction noise and contributes to the smooth and quiet operation of the appliance.
Harnessing the full power of detergents
Correct detergent dosage is important for optimal washing results. The DosageAssist feature in the Bosch SMU4ECS28E dishwasher ensures that the detergent dissolves completely in a special collection tray at the top of the basket. The detergent is thus distributed evenly throughout the inside of the dishwasher, making the wash more effective and quieter.
Favourite programme at the touch of a button
The Favourite Programme function lets you save a combination of your most used programme and additional functions, making it much easier to operate your smart Bosch SMU4ECS28E dishwasher. You can then easily start the programmed setting using the Home Connect app or by simply pressing a button on the dishwasher's control panel. For example, combine the Extra Dry function with the Eco 50°C programme and set the dishwasher with a single touch. Your own combination of a programme and an optional function makes washing dishes even easier.
AquaStop protection against water damage
Every Bosch appliance undergoes precise checks according to strictly set standards for quality, performance and sustainability. All Bosch dishwashers have the AquaStop system and a lifetime warranty against water damage, as well as a ten-year warranty against rusting of the dishwasher's inner tub.*
