A wide selection of washing programmes
Eco 50°C
An economical programme for normally soiled mixed crockery and cutlery, which optimises water and energy consumption.
Auto 45–65°C
The automatic programme adapts the wash cycle to the current level of soiling using sensors and adjusts the cycle parameters as needed.
Intensive 70°C
A programme designed for heavily soiled pots, pans, durable dishes and cutlery with dried-on or burnt-on food residues.
Short 60°C
A programme for when you need clean and dry dishes faster. It completes the full cycle in less than 90 minutes.
Quick 45°C
A time-saving programme especially suitable for lightly soiled dishes, glasses, cutlery and more heat-sensitive materials.
Silence 50°C
A programme optimised for the quietest possible dishwasher operation. It reduces the spray pressure and extends the wash phase to minimise noise while maintaining effective cleaning.
Favourite
Lets you save a frequently used combination of a washing programme and an additional function and then easily start it with a single command.
Better drying results with EfficientDry
The EfficientDry function helps to get your dishes drier without needing to towel-dry them. When the programme finishes, the door of the BOSCH SMV6ECX17E Serie 6 dishwasher opens automatically, allowing moisture to escape, reducing condensation and gently cooling the dishes. This more natural drying method also helps to save energy.
Stainless steel with a lower carbon footprint
Our Class A dishwashers, made in Germany, contain a proportion of CO₂-reduced stainless steel. This specially produced material is carefully tracked and assigned to these dishwashers via a certified mass balance system.* Compared to conventional stainless steel, it has up to a 40% lower carbon footprint.**
*During production, the CO₂-reduced stainless steel is mixed with conventional stainless steel but is allocated to our Class A energy efficiency dishwashers based on a mass balance calculation (according to ISO 22095), verified and confirmed by TÜV Rheinland.
**The CO₂-reduced stainless steel consists of 95% higher-quality recycled material. The comparison relates to the conventional stainless steel used in the manufacture of our dishwashers.
More intensive washing with Extra Clean Zone
The Extra Clean Zone helps remove stubborn dirt from dishes in the top basket. A trio of rotating water jets intensifies the soaking and spraying in this area without needing to increase the amount of detergent or the water temperature. Simply activate the function and the dishwasher provides more intensive care exactly where it's needed.
TimeLight displays the programme progress on the floor
With a fully integrated dishwasher, you don't have to open the door to find out how long the programme has left. The TimeLight function projects information about the current wash cycle, including the remaining time, directly onto the floor. This means you can always see the dishwasher's status at a glance.
Emotion Light illuminates the interior
The Emotion Light function provides clear illumination of the dishes inside the dishwasher. The light at the top automatically turns on when you open the door and switches off again when you close it. This makes loading and unloading dishes more convenient, even in poor ambient light.
Certified hygienic performance
The Eco 50°C programme achieves a hygiene level certified by the Institute for Integrative Hygiene and Virology, effectively eliminating viruses such as influenza and coronaviruses. An even higher level of hygiene can be achieved with the Intensive 70°C programme or the Machine Care maintenance cycle, which are also effective against more resistant enveloped and non-enveloped viruses.
Dosage Assistant for efficient use of detergent
The Dosage Assistant helps to use the detergent tablet evenly and effectively. After being released from the dispenser, the tablet drops into a special collection tray at the top of the basket, where it gradually dissolves. This allows the detergent to be distributed evenly throughout the entire cycle, contributing to clean, residue-free dishes.
Smart Start chooses the right moment
Smart Start helps you manage your appliance's energy consumption more strategically. This function automatically selects the dishwasher's start time based on one of two presets you can configure in the Home Connect app, taking into account 2 parameters within the wash cycle: The availability and share of renewable energy (such as solar or wind) or lower energy costs when your electricity tariffs are at their lowest.*
*Cost savings require a compatible high and low tariff electricity switching system. Optimisation is carried out either to maximise the share of renewable energy in the grid or to reduce costs. The availability of functions may vary from country to country.
Additional programmes to download
You can expand the dishwasher's range of options using the Programme Download function. Through the Home Connect app, you can get additional washing programmes that better match specific needs or types of dishes. The BOSCH SMV6ECX17E Serie 6 can therefore adapt to situations for which the basic set of programmes is not ideal.
ActiveWater uses water efficiently
We designed the ActiveWater system to wash dishes thoroughly while minimising resource consumption. Instead of just using more water, it uses it more efficiently. Through targeted spraying, rapid circulation, and advanced filtration, our dishwashers achieve hygienically clean and sparkling dishes. This efficient design allows us to achieve these results with less water, and therefore less energy to heat it.
Quiet operation with SilentPowerDrive
Dishwashers with a SilentPowerDrive provide effective washing at a low noise level. They are equipped with a brushless motor designed for energy-efficient operation. The motor helps reduce friction noise and contributes to the appliance's smooth and quiet running.
10-year anti-rust warranty
The high-quality materials and workmanship of the interior allow us to offer a 10-year warranty against the internal cavity rusting from the inside out. The dishwasher's construction is thus prepared for long-term daily use.
Intensive Zone for heavily soiled pots and pans
The Intensive Zone feature enhances the cleaning power in the lower basket by increasing the spray pressure and water temperature. This makes it ideal for heavily soiled pots and pans, while you can simultaneously wash more delicate dishes in the upper basket. The function can be combined with a range of wash programmes depending on the current load.
Automatic programmes adapt the wash to the dishes
You don't have to guess the ideal settings every time. Automatic programmes adjust the water temperature and rinse cycle according to the amount of dishes and their level of soiling. The dishwasher uses just the right amount of water and the right settings needed for the current load.
Overview of usage with Statistics
The Statistics function in the Home Connect app gives you a clear overview of how you actually use your appliances. You can see which programmes and settings you use most often, as well as your total energy and water consumption over time. With a 12-month history, you can easily track how your choices affect consumption month by month – giving you a clear picture of your daily habits.
Consumption forecast before starting a programme
Wondering how much energy and water a particular programme will use? The Consumption Forecast function in the Home Connect app shows you the estimated energy and water consumption, as well as the expected duration, for every selected combination of programme and optional feature. This lets you calmly compare options and choose the programme that best suits the current dishes in the dishwasher and your needs.
Automatic notifications straight to your phone
You don't have to keep checking if the dishwasher has finished. With automatic Home Connect notifications, you can receive information about the current programme status and other useful alerts on your mobile device. This way, you easily know what's happening with the dishwasher, even when you're out of the kitchen.
Remote diagnostics makes troubleshooting easier
If the appliance isn't working correctly, Remote Diagnostics can help. After contacting customer service and with your permission, the dishwasher can be checked remotely to locate any problems and recommend a suitable solution. If a technician visit is necessary, the service can better prepare the next steps thanks to the information obtained.
Control your dishwasher by voice
Thanks to Home Connect, the BOSCH SMV6ECX17E Serie 6 dishwasher can also be linked to a compatible Amazon Alexa device, letting you control selected functions with voice commands. The availability of the relevant Alexa skill depends on your country and language settings.
Silence on Demand quiets the dishwasher whenever you want
When you need a moment of peace and quiet at home, you can activate Silence on Demand via the Home Connect app. This function reduces the dishwasher's noise to a minimum for up to 30 minutes, while the wash cycle continues to run. It's ideal during a phone call, work, or when you're relaxing.
Your favourite setting with a single touch
The Favourite Programme function lets you save a combination of a frequently used programme and an additional function. For example, you can combine Eco 50°C with the ExtraDry function and launch this saved setting later with a single touch, either directly on the control panel or via the Home Connect app.
Lifetime AquaStop warranty against water damage
Every Bosch appliance undergoes precise checks according to strictly defined standards of quality, performance and sustainability. All Bosch dishwashers have the AquaStop system and a lifetime warranty against water damage, as well as a ten-year warranty against rusting through of the inner tub.
