Enjoy fresh and less creased laundry
The BOSCH WGG242Z2BY washing machine uses Steam treatment, which gives your laundry an extra steam treat and takes care of smoothing it, or even replaces ironing. You can have your clothes steam treated for a great look and reduced creasing.
The best energy class A
Thanks to their energy management system, Bosch washing machines achieve the highest energy class, A, ensuring efficient laundry washing.
Energy-efficient and quiet motor
The efficient and quiet brushless motor's design reduces noise, vibration and heat during operation. By limiting friction, it also contributes to the appliance's long-term high performance.
Perfect washing results in less time
The BOSCH WGG242Z2BY washing machine features SpeedPerfect, a special function developed for situations where time matters. It allows you to significantly reduce the washing time without compromising on washing quality.
The function can be used in combination with most programmes, all loads and fabric types. For example, by selecting the Mix programme in combination with the SpeedPerfect function, you can wash up to 4 kilograms of a mixed load in just 46 minutes.
The BOSCH WGG242Z2BY lets you add laundry mid-cycle
When was the last time you filled the washing machine, started the wash, and then realised you'd forgotten a child's sock or a T-shirt? The Reload function on the BOSCH WGG242Z2BY washing machine lets you easily add forgotten clothes or remove items even during the wash cycle.* Simply pause the running programme and open the door to easily place the missed items in the drum, then continue washing.
(*Adding items is not possible if the foam temperature is higher than 50°C or the water level in the drum is too high.)
Unique gentle drum
The unique, patented VarioDrum system gently and effectively washes all types of clothes by distributing water evenly without stretching, creasing or damaging your favourite garments. The droplet-shaped perforations of the drum and the asymmetrical paddles of the BOSCH WGG242Z2BY washing machine gently turn your laundry towards the centre, regardless of the direction of rotation. This ensures not only intensive washing of heavily soiled laundry but also a faster and more thorough wash cycle.
The BOSCH WGG242Z2BY washing machine saves you water and money
Our Active Water Plus technology delivers perfect results while using only the necessary amount of water for each wash. Thanks to its highly efficient water management technology, the exact amount of laundry is automatically detected and the water consumption is adjusted accordingly. Save up to 50% water when washing smaller loads.
Hygiene Plus programme
You will also appreciate the programme for hygienic washing, which effectively destroys 99.99% of germs even at a temperature of 40°C.
AntiVibration side wall
The innovative design of the side walls is not only visually appealing but also provides high stability, reduces vibrations and significantly minimises noise levels. This makes Bosch washing machines very quiet, even during the spin cycle.
Programme for dark colours
Stop dark clothes from fading after just a few washes! The special programme for dark clothes preserves their colour and vibrancy, keeping them looking new for longer. You'll never have to worry about your favourite black T-shirt turning grey again!
Programme for washing sportswear
You don't have to be afraid to wash your sportswear. Select the specially adapted Sport/Fitness programme with low washing temperatures, from "cold" to 40°C. A short spin and a short rinse reduce creasing.
AntiStain stain removal
With the AntiStain Removal system, the BOSCH washing machine easily handles four types of stubborn stains. The system automatically adjusts the temperature, drum movement and rinsing time to easily and completely automatically remove up to four of the most stubborn types of stains – from butter or oil, grass, red wine or blood.
Delay start function
Choose a time within a 24-hour period for the wash to be finished.
Quiet operation with a noise level of just 71dB
The BOSCH WGG242Z2BY washing machine operates at just 71dB, so it won't disturb you during the day. You can also wash your laundry in the evening without worrying about disturbing your surroundings.
