Reishi is a prized mushroom that has been used for over 2,000 years for its nutritional value. BrainMax Reishi is an extract from mushrooms grown on solid oak. 1 capsule contains 500mg of extract with 50% polysaccharides and a guaranteed minimum of 20% beta-1,3/1,6 D-glucans.
Reishi as a popular mushroom with a long history of use
Ganoderma lucidum, more commonly known as the reishi mushroom, has deep roots in the history of traditional herbalism. There are more than 400 bioactive compounds in this powerful mushroom. The most significant terpenoids include ganoderic and lucidenic acid. Thanks to these bioactive substances, reishi is prized for its nutritional value. In addition, reishi also contains beta-glucans.

100% pure extract
For the optimal use of the nutritional properties of mushrooms, it is important to process them correctly, which may include breaking down the chitinous shell to facilitate the absorption of some bioactive substances. As humans, we do not have the enzyme that can break down this shell. That is why extraction is one of the most common ways of processing mushrooms, which allows for better utilisation of some of their bioactive components. Moreover, thanks to this processing, it retains a large amount of polysaccharides and other natural ingredients. While mushroom powder itself contains around 0.3% polysaccharides, BrainMax mushroom extracts have 50%.
Purity of the mushroom raw material
For the final product, BrainMax mushrooms are processed using only pure fruiting bodies. Well-cleaned fruiting bodies are the basis for further processing. You can be sure that you are not getting anything other than the mushroom itself. There is no risk of contamination from the substrate, which would reduce the amount of declared polysaccharides contained in the specific product. Likewise, each product contains only mushroom polysaccharides and the amount of polysaccharides contained is not artificially increased by anything else.

Cultivation of Reishi
Reishi is grown on solid oak in the pure nature of the Chinese highlands. Unlike other BrainMax mushrooms, Reishi is processed by double extraction. The first is a hot water extraction, followed by an alcohol extraction.
Dosage
Take 1–3 capsules daily (children 3–15 years 1 capsule daily). Take the capsules in the morning on an empty stomach (at least 30 minutes before a meal) with lukewarm or warm water. When taking mushrooms, we recommend increasing your vitamin C intake. For example, in the form of Acerola, a Brazilian cherry extract.
