Phase and dielectric coating on prisms
The latest generation of phase coating provides higher contrast and higher image resolution than standard uncoated binoculars. This allows you to see the nuances of feathers and coat texture of animals more effectively. Especially beneficial in low light conditions. At dusk and in bad weather, the dielectric coating is like gold and allows more light into the prism. This provides a clearer, brighter image to get more out of your observations in low light conditions.
Argon protective gases and water resistance
Argon is neither absorbed by water nor reacts to it. In addition, this high-performance gas retains its protective properties over a wider temperature range than nitrogen. This argon-filled binocular is suitable for more extreme conditions and has a longer service life. The gas also prevents the lenses from fogging up from the inside. The Pirsch ED is waterproof, so no matter the weather you are well equipped and don't have to worry even if your binoculars accidentally go underwater.
