Brufen is a non-steroidal antirheumatic drug with a significant fever-reducing, pain-reducing effect, even in painful conditions of non-rheumatic origin, and with an anti-inflammatory effect.
What is Brufen used for
It helps in reducing fever, to treat mild to moderate pain, e.g. headaches, including migraines, back pain, teeth, postoperative pain, pain in soft tissue injuries, such as a bruise or sprain for muscle and joint pain, that accompany flu-like illnesses, for painful menstruation and on the advice of a doctor for rheumatic diseases.
Dosage
- Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age (weighing over 40 kg. The usual daily dose used for the treatment of pain or fever is 1 Brufen 400 mg coated tablet as a single dose or up to 3 × daily with an interval of 4-6 hours between doses. The maximum daily dose is 1200 mg.
- For rheumatic diseases, the daily dose usually ranges from 1200-1600 mg, but the exact dose is always determined by the doctor, who may increase the dose up to 2400 mg, divided into several doses. However, the dose of 2400 mg per day should not be exceeded.
- No dosage adjustment is necessary for older patients (over 65 years).
- If you do not feel better within 3-5 days or if you feel worse, you must consult a doctor. If Brufen is taken by a teenager, he or she must always see a doctor after just 3 days of treatment.
Storage
Store at temperatures up to 25 °C. Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box after EXP. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment the environment. Store at temperatures up to 25 C in the original inner container to protect the product from moisture.
Contraindications
Brufen 400 is not intended for children and adolescents under 12 years of age. Other dosage forms and strengths of ibuprofen are available for this group.
