contains two medicinal substances. These are paracetamol and ibuprofen. Ibuprofen belongs to a group of drugs known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs reduce pain, swelling and fever. Paracetamol is an analgesic (painkiller) that relieves pain and fever in a different way to ibuprofen. For adults only.
Brufen Combi is used for the short-term treatment of mild to moderate pain such as:
headache (not migraine)pain back painmenstrual pain toothache muscle painpain associated with colds and flu sore throat.
This product is particularly suitable for pain that requires treatment with a stronger analgesic effect than ibuprofen or paracetamol alone.
Dosage and method of use
Take one tablet a maximum of three times a day. The interval between doses should be at least six hours. If a dose of one tablet does not relieve symptoms, a maximum of two tablets can be taken up to three times a day. Since the product contains paracetamol, the dose of two tablets is intended only for patients with a body weight of at least 60 kg. The interval between doses should be at least six hours. The maximum daily dose not to be exceeded within 24 hours is six tablets (3,000 mg paracetamol, 1,200 mg ibuprofen).
Contraindications
Not intended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. Do not take Brufen Combi if you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
Notice
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Brufen Combi if:
You are an elderly patient- you have an infection - see "Infections" below- you have or have had asthma- you have kidney disease, heart, liver or intestines- you have systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) - a condition, when the immune system affects the connective tissue, resulting in joint pain, skin changes and malfunction of other organs, or other mixed connective tissue disease - you have a digestive disorder or chronic inflammatory bowel disease (such asulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease)- you are in the first 6 months of pregnancy or breastfeeding- if you are planning to become pregnant.
Anti-inflammatory/analgesic drugs such as ibuprofen may cause a slight increase in the risk of non-cardiac stroke, especially when taken in high doses. Therefore, do not exceed the recommended dose or duration of treatment.
