Café Cult Honduras “Copantillo” Coffee Beans
This coffee comes from an organisation in San Andrés, Honduras, which grows the red and yellow Catuai varieties on 275 hectares at an altitude of 1,100–1,600m. Thanks to decades of experience in coffee growing, excellent local climatic conditions and careful manual work, the coffee growers in Copán manage to produce coffee of the highest quality.
Character and Flavour
Copantillo has a strong and full-bodied flavour, yet has low acidity. Its flavour is reminiscent of walnuts and chocolate. This harmonious profile will quickly impress even the connoisseurs! This project coffee comes from the Copán region in western Honduras, near the Macaw Mountain Bird Park. The cherries for this special Arabica blend are grown and processed by many small farmers around Copán Ruinas. This collaboration supports the conservation of native bird species, including rare macaw species. Full-bodied, round and strong—with the aroma of dark chocolate, roasted nuts and a subtle citrus freshness. Ideal for lovers of intense filter coffees.
- Flavour profile: The coffee is characterised by a mild and fruity acidity, a pronounced full body and a rich, complex aroma. A light hint of cocoa is noticeable in the aftertaste.
