Calcichew D3 is used for the prevention and treatment of calcium and vitamin D deficiency and, in consultation with a physician, as a supplement in the treatment of osteoporosis (thinning of the bones). Vitamin D and calcium are used as an adjunct to the specific treatment of osteoporosis in patients at risk of vitamin D and calcium deficiency. The product is not suitable for children under 4 years of age, children over 4 years of age may take the product only after consulting a doctor. The package contains 60 chewable tablets.
Dosage and method of use
Adults:
Complementary therapy in osteoporosis:
One chewable tablet of Calcichew D3 2-3 times a day.
Calcium and vitamin D deficiency:
One chewable tablet of Calcichew D3 1-3 times a day.
Pediatric population:
Calcium and vitamin D deficiency (only):
One chewable tablet of Calcichew D3 1-2 times a day.
Contraindications
If you are taking Calcichew D3 for the treatment of osteoporosis, it is essential that your doctor determines your blood calcium level before treatment and decides whether treatment with Calcichew D3 is appropriate. Calcichew D3 can be taken in pregnancy for calcium and vitamin D deficiency. Calcichew D3 can be taken while breastfeeding. Calcium and vitamin D pass into breast milk. This should be taken into account if the child is to be given additional vitamin D.

Storage
