Canesten cream is used to treat inflammation caused by fungal microorganisms, yeasts, molds and some bacteria. These include inflammation of the external genitalia in women, inflammation of the glans penis in men, and fungal diseases (dermatomycoses), occurring most often in areas of easy infection, which can manifest as redness, itching and sometimes peeling of the skin. Canesten cream can be used by adults and children from 2 years of age.
Dosage and method of use
In case of a skin yeast infection, apply Canesten cream 2-3 times a day to the affected areas in a thin layer. The cream should be used for 3-4 weeks for fungal skin diseases, 2-4 weeks for erythrasma and 1-3 weeks for pythriasis versicolour.
In case of inflammation of the external genitalia in a woman and inflammation of the glans penis in a man, the cream should be used for 1-2 weeks.
Before each application of the cream, wash and dry the affected area thoroughly. Do not use for more than 4 weeks without consulting your doctor.
Contraindications
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the product. If the product is applied to the nipples, the breasts should be washed before breastfeeding. Read the package insert carefully.
