Materials and electronics

The body of the Cascha HH 2048E Tenor Mahogany ukulele is made from mahogany. The rosewood fingerboard is divided by sixteen frets (the bridge is also made from the same material). The strings are held in place by chrome-plated, guitar-style tuning machines. The beautiful craftsmanship is enhanced by the rosette and double-sided body binding made of imitation tortoiseshell. For amplification, it features active electronics with a piezo pickup and a preamp built into the side of the instrument. The electronics are powered by two CR2032 batteries, which are not included in the package.
