The tablets contain 100 mg of vitamin C (ascorbic acid). The body is unable to make it itself, so it must be taken in the diet. Celaskon 100 mg tablets are used by adults and children to prevent or treat vitamin C deficiency conditions in the body, especially during periods of increased demands (in childhood during growth, in pregnancy, in the lactation period, during strenuous work, sports, infectious diseases, in recovery from infectious diseases, severe injuries, burns and major surgery, on a one-sided diet, in old age, in smokers, etc. ). In combination with other antioxidants (anti-oxidants), it is administered to reduce the harmful effects of free radicals (antioxidant action).
The role of vitamin C in the body is multifaceted. It enables the activity of various enzymes in the body, is part of the antioxidant system. It is important for the growth and maintenance of healthy bones, teeth, gums, ligaments and blood vessels, for the formation of certain substances involved in the transmission of nerve impulses between nerve cells, for the production of adrenal hormones, for the absorption of iron from food, is also necessary for a normal immune response to infection and for wound healing. A milder deficiency is manifested by weakness, general fatigue and pain, swollen gums and nosebleeds. More severe deficiency causes scurvy and anemia. A varied diet, especially fresh fruit and vegetables, usually contains sufficient amounts of vitamin C.
Dosage and method of use
Always take this medicine exactly as directed by the package leaflet or by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Adults and children over the age of 6 years usually take 5 to 10 tablets daily for vitamin C deficiency, and 2 to 5 tablets daily to cover increased needs for a temporary period. Children aged 3 - 6 years are given 1 - 2 tablets per day. Dosage for children under 3 years of age is determined by a physician. For good utilization in the body, it is preferable to take the total daily dose divided into several sub-doses per day rather than all at once.
Celaskon 100 mg Tablets can be taken at the recommended dosage for 7 days without a doctor's recommendation, but if your symptoms worsen or do not improve, consult your doctor for further action. Celaskon 100 mg tablets should only be taken during periods of vitamin C deficiency in the body or when there is an increased need for it, see section 1.What is Celaskon 100 mg tablets and what is it used for. The tablets are swallowed unchewed, preferably after a meal, with a sip of liquid.
Contraindications
Uncommon (may affect up to 1 patient in 100):
- feeling sick; - Vomiting; - diarrhea; - eczema, urticaria.
Rare (may affect up to 1 patient in 1,000):
- feeling weak; - oxalate kidney stones.
Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 patients):
- haemolytic anaemia (anaemia caused by premature death of red blood cells); - kidney failure; - asthma attack.

Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 25 °C. Keep in original packaging to protect the product from light and moisture. Do not use Celaskon 100 mg tablets after the expiry date marked on the packaging with the abbreviation "EXP". The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated.
