Preparation
Grind the coffee to the coarseness required for your chosen brewing methour We supply our coffee as whole beans (unground) as standard.
Storage
Only open the coffee right before you're about to brew it. There's no need to transfer it to another container. Simply reseal the bag using the zip lock. The triple-layer packaging protects the coffee from air, while the one-way valve allows naturally occurring carbon dioxide to escape. This lets the beans degas without going stale. Keep the package somewhere with a stable temperature and dry conditions – which definitely means not the fridge or freezer. The coffee would unnecessarily absorb moisture and surrounding odours. Not even our special bags would help in that situation.
