Preparation
Grind the coffee to the coarseness required for your chosen brewing methour The coffee is supplied as whole beans (not ground) as standard.
Storage
Only open the coffee just before brewing. Even then, there is no need to transfer it to anything else. Simply reseal the bag using the zip lock. The three-layer packaging protects the coffee from the air, while the one-way valve allows the naturally produced carbon dioxide to escape. This allows the beans to breathe, but not go stale. Place the package somewhere with a constant temperature and dry conditions—which is definitely not the fridge or freezer. The coffee would unnecessarily absorb moisture and surrounding odours. Even our special bags wouldn't help here.
