Coldrex Hot drink with lemon and honey flavour is intended for adults and adolescents aged 15 years and over with a body weight over 50 kg for the short-term relief of cold and flu symptoms including fever and chills, headaches, sore throat, joint and muscle pain, of a stuffy nose, sinusitis and associated pain and acute rhinitis.
Medicinal substances
Coldrex Hot Drink contains the following medicinal substances: Paracetamol (750 mg)which is a painkiller and also helps to reduce fever. Phenylephrine hydrochloride (10 mg)which reduces congestion of the nasal mucosa, is used to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa and thus facilitates breathing. Ascorbic acid or vitamin C (60 mg)which is a common ingredient in cold and flu preparations. It helps replace vitamin C, which can be depleted in the early stages of colds and flu.
Dosage and method of use
Adults (including the elderly) and adolescents from 15 years of age (with a body weight of 50 kg or more): 1 sachet up to 4 times a day. Always take individual doses after 4 hours at the earliest. Do not take more than 4 sachets in 24 hours. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Empty the contents of the bag into a glass and cover with very hot water. Stir until the powder dissolves. You can sweeten with honey or sugar, or top up with cold water. Drink the hot drink. If the pain or fever persists for more than 3 days or worsens, or if other symptoms appear, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor for further treatment.
Contraindications
It is not intended for children and adolescents under 15 years of age and adolescents aged 15-18 years with a body weight of less than 50 kg. The product should not be taken during pregnancy. Breastfeeding women may take the product only on the express recommendation of a physician. Alcohol must not be consumed during treatment. If you have kidney or liver disease, consult your physician before taking this product as dosage may need to be adjusted.
Storage
Keep out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 25 ºC. Do not use the product after the expiry date marked on the packaging. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
