Coldrex Junior with lemon flavour is intended for children from 6 years of age with a body weight over 22 kg for the short-term relief of cold and flu symptoms, including fever and chills, headaches, sore throat, joint and muscle pain, of a stuffy nose, sinusitis and associated pain and acute rhinitis.
Medicinal substances
Coldrex Junior contains the following medicinal substances: Paracetamol (300 mg)which is a painkiller and also helps to reduce fever. Phenylephrine hydrochloride (5 mg)which reduces congestion of the nasal mucosa, is used to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa and thus facilitates breathing. Ascorbic acid or vitamin C (20 mg)which is a common ingredient in cold and flu preparations. It helps replace vitamin C, which can be depleted in the early stages of colds and flu.
Dosage and method of use
Children from 6 years of age (body weight from 22 kg): The recommended dose is 1 sachet every 4-6 hours as needed. A minimum interval of 4 hours between doses should be observed. Maximum daily dose is 4 sachets over 24 hours. The maximum duration of treatment without consulting a doctor is 3 days. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Pour the contents of the bag into a glass or cup and cover with hot water (approximately 125 ml). Stir until the powder dissolves. Add cold water and sweeten with honey or sugar to taste. Give the warm drink to the child.
Contraindications
The product is not suitable for children under 6 years of age. Do not administer to a child if allergic to any substance contained in the product.
Storage
Keep out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 25 ºC. Do not use the product after the expiry date marked on the packaging. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
