Choosing a power supply
When choosing a suitable PC power supply, the key parameter besides the form factor is the wattage. This indicates the maximum number of watts the power supply can continuously deliver to the components in the computer. It is a good idea to use a web-based calculator to calculate the optimal wattage based on your chosen components.
Power supply performance and stability
The power supply's design withstands high temperatures and maintains full power even at operating temperatures of up to 40°C, extending its lifespan in warmer environments. To handle sudden power spikes, for example when starting games, it can briefly deliver up to 100W more power for 20 seconds. The dual forward topology and active power factor correction (PFC) contribute to a more stable and safer operation for the entire system.
Quiet cooling and long lifespan
A 120mm fan with a sleeve bearing ensures efficient heat dissipation. Its thermal control automatically adjusts the fan speed according to the current load and the internal temperature of the power supply. This means it runs more quietly at low loads and only increases its performance when needed. A high mean time between failures (MTBF) of over 100000 hours confirms the design's focus on reliability.
Comprehensive protection and connectors
The power supply includes a comprehensive set of protections, including over-voltage, under-voltage, overload, and short-circuit protection. The integrated protection suite also safeguards connected components against overheating and inrush current. The fixed cabling includes all the necessary connectors for modern builds, including two 8-pin PCI-E and two 8-pin CPU connectors.

80 Plus certification in the European market
80 Plus certification was created to objectively evaluate the efficiency of PC power supplies. This gives users a simple and clear comparison of different models. In the European market (where 230V is used), there are six levels of 80 Plus certification with set requirements for PC power supplies. Higher energy efficiency primarily means lower energy consumption.
| PC power supply load | Efficiency at 20% load | Efficiency at 50% load | Efficiency at 100% load |
|---|---|---|---|
| 80 PLUS | 82% | 85% | 82% |
| 80 PLUS Bronze | 85% | 88% | 85% |
| 80 PLUS Silver | 87% | 90% | 87% |
| 80 PLUS Gold | 90% | 92% | 89% |
| 80 PLUS Platinum | 92% | 94% | 90% |
| 80 PLUS Titanium | 94% | 96% | 94% |
