Corsodyl 1 % gel is intended for use in the oral cavity.The medicinal substance chlorhexidine contained in Corsodyl acts against a wide range of bacteria, yeasts, certain fungi and viruses that cause infectious diseases and inflammation in the oral cavity.
Corsodyl 1% gel is intended for:
to inhibit plaque formation- to prevent and treat gingivitis- to maintain oral hygiene in situations, when thorough toothbrushing is not possible- to promote healing of the gums after oral surgery- to treat prosthetic stomatitis (bleeding and gingivitis caused by irritation from dentures)- to supplement fluoride preparations in the prevention of dental caries in high-risk patients. The product is intended for adults and adolescents from 12 years of age.
Dosage and method of use
The duration of treatment and dosage is different for different types of diseases, use in accordance with the package insert. Always use this medicine exactly as directed in the package insert or by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist. For application in the oral cavity only. Do not swallow the product. After use, spit out any residual gel in your mouth or rinse your mouth lightly with water. However, if swallowed accidentally, adverse effects are unlikely.
Contraindications
The preparation shall not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the medicinal substance or to any excipient contained in the preparation. Children under 12 years of age may use the product only on the advice of a doctor.

Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 25 °C. After the first opening, the shelf life is 31 days. Do not use Corsodyl after the expiry date stated on the box and tube after "EXP". The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
