Cotylena is used to treat skin and mucosal infections that are caused by yeast, fungi and certain bacteria. These are: fungal diseases (dermatomycoses), occurring most often in areas of easy tanning (skin folds): between the toes (tinea pedis), in the groin area (tinea inguinalis), on the trunk (tinea corporis), on the hands (tinea manuum).
They are manifested by redness, itching, sometimes even peeling of the skin, or painful skin cracks may occur. pityriasis versicolour - usually manifests itself on the chest or back as peeling, ...itchy spots, erythrasma - manifests itself as brownish-red, slightly scaly, sharply delineated, Unsightly spots or areas in the areas of the fingers or between the fingers. Cotylena is a broad-spectrum antifungal (a medicine used to treat mycotic/fungal or yeast infections) in adults.
Dosage and method of use
The solution is sprayed thinly 2-3 times a day on infected skin areas. The spray head is squeezed 1-2 times each time it is used. That's enough even for large-scale fungal diseases. Spray the affected area from a distance of 10 to 30 cm. The usual duration of treatment is 3-4 weeks for fungal skin diseases (dermatomycoses), 2-4 weeks for erythrasma and up to 3 weeks for pythriasis versicolour. In fungal diseases, the symptoms may improve quickly, but to prevent a return of the disease it is necessary to continue treatment with Cotylena even after the symptoms have subsided, for about 2 weeks after all signs of the disease have disappeared.
Contraindications
Read the package insert carefully. Do not use Cotylena if you are allergic to the medicine clotrimazole or to any of the other ingredients in this medicine. For precautionary reasons, use Cotylena in pregnancy, especially in the first three months of pregnancy, only on the advice of a doctor. To avoid excretion of the drug into breast milk, Cotylena should not be applied to the breast if you are breastfeeding.

Storage
Keep out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 30 °C. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the label and box after "EXP". The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
