The Covid-19 Ag Rapid Test is an in vitro immunoassay for the COVID-19 antigen rapid test. The test is used for direct and qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 viral nucleoprotein antigens from nasal secretions taken from the front of the nose (nostrils). Detects SARS-CoV-2 viral antigens through visual interpretation of colour development . If 2 coloured bands appear on the membrane (in area C and T), the result is positive for SARS-CoV-2 viral antigens, if the band appears only in control area C, the result is negative. The coloured bar in control area C serves as a check that the test was successful and working. The Covid-19 Ag Rapid Test package contains individually packaged test equipment, individually packed squeegee, extraction buffer, measuring cup stand, plastic waste bag, leaflet. The test is approved for home use and is intended for self-testing.

How to sample
- Blow your nose gently into the handkerchief and then throw it in a closed basket.
- Wash your hands with soap and warm water for 20 seconds or use a hand sanitizer.
- Gently insert the swab into the nostril until you feel a slight resistance (about 1/2 to 3/4 inch above the nose). Rotate the stick firmly on the inside of the nostril to form 5 complete circles. Repeat this procedure for the other nostril to ensure that an adequate smear is performed. The sample is taken from both nostrils (use the same swab).
You may feel slightly uncomfortable. Do not insert the swab deeper if you feel strong resistance or pain. Children aged 2-15 years should be tested by adults (18+ years).
Covid-19 Ag Rapid Test Instructions for Use (Test Procedure)
- Clean the work surface before testing.
- Wash your hands with soap and warm water for 20 seconds or use a hand sanitizer.
- Just before testing, open the foil pouch, remove the test device, and place it on a clean, level surface. For best results, the test should be performed within one hour.
- Unscrew the blue cap of the buffer tube and insert into the hole in the tube.
- Remove the swab from the package - keep the swab clean. Do not touch the tip of the swab and do not touch any surfaces before use. Take your sample according to the instructions.
- Use a stick to remove your sample from the nose according to the instructions.
- Insert the sample swab into the buffer tube. Mix well and press the rod 10-15 times by squeezing the walls of the tube against the swab. When removing the rod from the tube, clamp the extraction tube against the swab. Try to release as much fluid as possible. Insert the swab into the enclosed plastic bag. Screw the blue cap back onto the extraction tube and unscrew the upper white cap.
- Invert the tube and gently squeeze the tube to add 3 drops of solution to the sample well
- Wait 15 minutes before reading the result.
- Dispose of the test kit safely. When the test is complete, place all used contents of the test kit in the included waste bag. Dispose of in normal household waste.
Before starting the test, all components of the test should have the same (room) temperature of 15 - 30 ° C.
