Converter for Extending Your Network with Optical Cabling
CUDY Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter MC100GMA-05
The CUDY media converter is a practical network adapter designed for the reliable connection of copper and optical networks in buildings, complexes, or shopping centres. It allows you to convert between a gigabit RJ45 port and a multi-mode optical interface with an SC connector, making it easy to cover distances of up to 550 metres without losing transmission stability. Support for 10/100/1000Mbps speeds makes the CUDY media converter a versatile solution for standard LANs, camera systems, or connecting different parts of a building. Thanks to dual-fibre and simple plug-and-play installation, you can count on quick setup without complex configuration.
Key Features of the CUDY Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter MC100GMA-05

- Two optical fibres ensure stable data transmission
- Thanks to its plug-and-play connection, the CUDY media converter can be used without complex configuration
The CUDY Media Converter Connects Copper and Optical Networks Using Two Fibres
The CUDY media converter is used for the direct connection of copper Ethernet cabling and an optical cable using two multi-mode optical fibres. You can use the RJ45 connector for a switch, camera system, or network recorder, for example, while the SC optical connector provides stable data transmission over longer distances. This ensures a secure connection between individual parts of a building or complex without interference, while maintaining full gigabit transmission speed.
A Stable Network Solution for Longer Distances
The CUDY media converter is ideal for deployment in office buildings, shopping centres, warehouses, and industrial sites where more distant parts of the network need to be connected using optical cabling. You can use it to connect individual floors of a building, separate buildings, or when installing camera and security systems. It ensures stable and reliable network transmission in places where copper cables are not long enough or are susceptible to interference.
Quick and Easy Connection Without Configuration
Thanks to its plug-and-play operation, the CUDY media converter requires no complicated setup. Simply connect the network device using a copper Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port and then connect the optical part of the network using two multi-mode optical fibres terminated with SC connectors. After connecting the power supply, the converter is immediately ready for operation and automatically ensures stable data transmission without the need for further configuration.
