The CyberPower OR600ERM1U UPS is a compact solution for protecting servers, network equipment and other sensitive electronics. This line-interactive UPS, with a capacity of 600VA and a real load of 360W, can be installed in rack cabinets, where it takes up just a single height unit. Its Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) technology stabilises the input voltage without switching to battery power, thereby extending the battery's lifespan. The clear LCD status display provides instant information on operating conditions, load and battery status. This rack UPS is suitable for smaller server rooms and corporate environments where efficient use of space and reliable power protection are paramount.

Performance and backup time

This UPS uses a line-interactive topology, providing an apparent power of 600VA and a real power of 360W. The integrated automatic voltage regulation actively responds to minor grid fluctuations, adjusting the voltage to a safe level without switching the unit to battery power. This approach saves battery capacity for a complete power outage. At a full load of 360W, it powers connected devices for 4 minutes, while at half load (180W), it keeps them running for 13 minutes. This is enough time to safely save work and perform a controlled shutdown of connected servers.

Comprehensive protection for connected devices

The UPS integrates multi-stage protection for connected electronics. The surge protection absorbs energy spikes of up to 405J, protecting hardware from damage. The built-in EMI and RFI filter effectively suppresses electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference, which can negatively affect the performance of sensitive devices and cause data errors. In addition to protecting power lines, it also includes RJ-45 and RJ-11 ports to secure the data network and telephone line from damage caused by voltage surges in the communication line.

Management and maintenance

For monitoring operating conditions, a clear LCD panel displays real-time information about the load, battery status and voltage. The UPS and connected systems are managed by the PowerPanel Business software, which connects via USB or a serial port. This software coordinates a safe system shutdown during a prolonged power outage. Maintenance is simplified by the design, which supports hot-swapping the battery without needing to shut down the protected devices. For advanced remote management in a network environment, an optional RMCARD205 card with an SNMP/HTTP interface can be purchased.

Connections and outputs

The UPS itself is powered by a standard IEC C14 input connector. On the output side, there are a total of six IEC C13 outlets, which it divides functionally. Four outlets provide full battery backup along with surge protection, intended for key components such as servers or network switches. The remaining two outlets offer surge protection only and are suitable for connecting less critical devices.
