CyberPower UPS

CyberPower UPS
The CyberPower UT1500EG UPS provides comprehensive power protection for computers, network storage, and other sensitive electronics. This line-interactive CyberPower UPS, with a real power output of 900W and an apparent power of 1500VA, serves as a reliable backup power supply for PCs and office equipment. The integrated automatic voltage regulation actively stabilises mains fluctuations, reducing the need to switch to battery power. The GreenPower UPS Bypass technology reduces energy consumption and running costs, and helps to extend battery life. It also includes surge protection and EMI/RFI interference filtering.
Key features of the CyberPower UPS UT1500EG
- Provides 1500VA / 900W of power
- Uses line-interactive topology with automatic voltage regulation
- Includes energy-saving GreenPower UPS Bypass technology
- Offers a run time of up to 90 minutes at a 60W load
- Provides 150J surge protection and EMI and RFI filtering
- Protects the data network via an RJ-45 port with speeds up to 1Gbps
- Includes three USB ports
- Power management via PowerPanel Personal software
Line-interactive topology and AVR
The power supply uses a line-interactive topology that effectively responds to instabilities in the mains electricity. Integrated automatic voltage regulation with single-step boost and single-step buck maintains a stable output voltage of 230 +/- 10% Vac without having to switch to the battery. The device is compatible with generator power and its operational status is indicated by clear LED indicators.
Protective features
Several safety mechanisms protect connected devices from damage. The power supply includes overload protection, provided by an internal current limiter and a circuit breaker. Surge protection with an absorption capacity of 150J and a built-in EMI/RFI filter eliminate interference and protect against voltage spikes in the mains. An RJ-45 port with support for transfer speeds up to 1Gbps protects the data line.
Performance and battery operation
The CyberPower UT1500EG UPS provides a simulated sine wave output when running on battery power. The run time depends on the current load and reaches 90 minutes at 60W, 60 minutes at 90W, or 27 minutes at a 200W load. This capacity provides enough time to save work and safely shut down systems during a power outage. The typical time for a full battery recharge is 8 hours.
Management and monitoring
Management and status monitoring are handled by the PowerPanel Personal software, which is available as a free download. Audible alarms also provide information on various operational events. For connecting appliances, there are four Schuko F sockets, all with battery backup and surge protection. In addition to power, the UPS also offers charging ports, specifically one USB-A and one USB-C, with a total output of 5V / 2.1A.
