The Dahua BF5H IP camera captures its surroundings in 2880 × 1620 px resolution with a 122.5° horizontal viewing angle for detailed coverage of outdoor areas. The 1/3" CMOS sensor is complemented by hybrid night illumination, which combines infrared diodes and warm light for colour night images. The 20.44 Wh battery-powered supply uses a low-power recording mode for long battery life without the need for frequent recharging. An integrated PIR sensor with a 12m range triggers recording upon detecting the movement of people or vehicles, and the device withstands adverse weather thanks to its IP66 rating.

Image Parameters
The 1/3" CMOS sensor records video at 2880 × 1620 px resolution at a frame rate of 15 FPS. A fixed lens with a focal length of 2.1mm and an F1.6 aperture covers a wide field of view with a horizontal angle of 122.5° and a vertical angle of 66°. The modern H.265 video compression format effectively reduces demands on data flow and storage capacity. Users get sharp footage with faithful detail reproduction, even in difficult lighting conditions.
Hybrid Night Vision
The night illumination system combines classic infrared with warm white light from two multi-core diodes. The infrared has a range of up to 15m. The warm white light illuminates the monitored area up to a distance of 10m. The camera automatically switches between black-and-white and colour modes depending on the intensity of the ambient light. This hybrid technology helps to identify important details.
Detection Functions
The built-in PIR sensor responds to thermal radiation up to a distance of 12m when installed at a height of 2.5m. Advanced Motion Detection 2.0 algorithms accurately recognise the movement of people and vehicles and eliminate false alarms caused by leaves or insects. The auto-tracking function keeps moving objects in the frame for as long as they are present. If a defined zone is breached, the device can activate the built-in light and sound alarm.
Recording Storage and AOV Mode
An integrated slot for MicroSD memory cards with support for up to 512GB is used for storing captured video recordings. A special AOV mode is used for continuous 24/7 recording while maintaining very low power consumption. Users can access stored data directly via the mobile app without needing to remove the card.
Construction and Installation
The IP66-rated construction withstands adverse weather conditions in a temperature range from -20°C to 50°C. Installation is made easy by the magnetic base and the option for wall or pole mounting. The lens position can be manually adjusted within a 360° horizontal range and from -60° to 0° vertically. The integrated 20.44Wh battery, combined with the ultra-power-saving mode, reduces the frequency of charging via the USB interface.
Connectivity and App
Wireless network connection is provided by dual-band Wi-Fi 6 supporting IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Fast pairing with a mobile phone is done via the integrated Bluetooth interface for easy configuration. Management and live stream monitoring are performed in the DMSS app for Android and iOS, with ONVIF protocol support.
