The Designo thermostat with WiFi W7G regulates the temperature in both heating and cooling systems, and you can use it with gas boilers, electric boilers, solid fuel boilers, and heat pumps. This white wired thermostat with IP20 protection is designed to be mounted directly onto a flat wall as a replacement for your original room unit. Its design, featuring an integrated 802.11 b/g/n WiFi module, doesn't require the installation of any additional control unit or wireless communication gateway. The device communicates directly with your home's 2.4GHz wireless network and is powered by a USB-C cable.

Smart Life and Tuya mobile apps
You can control your heating from anywhere with an internet connection. The mobile app works on Android and iOS operating systems and has an English interface. The system supports automatic temperature control based on your phone's location using a geofencing function. This automatically activates the heating as you approach home.
Easy programming
The device offers a weekly heating schedule with the option to set up to 4 time periods for each day. In addition to the automatic mode, you can also select manual settings or the energy-saving Eco mode. You can set the temperature in a range from 5 to 35°C in 0.5°C increments. All saved configurations remain in the EEPROM memory even during a power outage.
Wall installation
The body, measuring 100×100×22mm, is designed for surface mounting directly onto a flat wall, typically on the wall opposite the heating element. There's no need to prepare a flush-mounted box or carry out any structural modifications for installation. The device uses the existing wires from the original on/off thermostat, making replacement straightforward.
Compatibility
The system is fully compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistants. Support for the IFTTT platform enables integration into more complex smart home scenarios. Power is supplied via a 5V USB-C connector located on the underside. The thermostat works with heat sources controlled by a volt-free NO and NC contact. The switching output supports a nominal heating device power from 100W to 6000W with a current of 0.5A.
OWD open window detection and display
The integrated OWD (Open Window Detection) function reacts to a rapid drop in room temperature. When you're airing out a room, the system automatically pauses the heating to prevent energy waste. You can select a drop of 2, 3, or 4°C within a set time interval of 2 to 30 minutes. The delay time for restarting ranges from 10 to 60 minutes. The backlit touchscreen clearly displays the current and desired temperatures. The backlight brightness in standby mode can be set from 0 to 100%. The built-in temperature sensor measures temperature with an accuracy of +/- 0.2°C and a resolution of 0.1°C. A child safety lock prevents unwanted changes to the settings directly on the device.
