Diclofenac Dr. Müller Pharma is intended for external use. This medicine belongs to the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These substances are used to control pain and inflammation. Diclofenac Dr. Müller Pharma is designed to relieve pain and reduce inflammation and swelling in painful joint and muscle disorders. Without a doctor's recommendation, this product can be used to relieve local symptoms of inflammation and pain in tendon, ligament, muscle and joint injuries caused by e.g. sprains, strains and bruises. Only on the advice of a doctor can this medicine be used to treat painful and rheumatoid conditions in mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knees and hands. This medicine is for adults and adolescents aged 14 years and older. If you do not feel better within 7 days or if you feel worse, you must consult a doctor.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as directed in the package insert or by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Use and dosage in adults and adolescents from 14 years of age:
This medicine is applied to the skin on the affected area 3 to 4 times a day and gently rubbed in. The amount needed depends on the size of the painful area. It is recommended to apply 2 to 4 g of this medicine (an amount corresponding to the size of a cherry to walnut). After applying the gel, it is necessary to wash your hands if they are not the treated area. Do not use this product for more than 2 weeks without consulting your doctor. For adolescents from 14 years of age, the medicine can be used only for 7 days. If you do not feel better within 7 days or if you feel worse, you must consult a doctor.
Contraindications
If you are allergic to diclofenac sodium or any other ingredient in this medicine. If you have had an allergic reaction in the past after taking acetylsalicylic acid or any other NSAIDs (e.g. asthma, urticaria or rhinitis symptoms). If you are in the last three months of pregnancy.
Notice
Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes. Never swallow this product. Do not cover the treated area with an occlusive (waterproof or impermeable) dressing or plaster. A non-occlusive cover can be used. Do not apply this product to skin wounds, open wounds or skin affected by rash or eczema. This medicine should only be applied to healthy, intact skin. Discontinue treatment with this product if a rash appears on the skin after application. Avoid direct sunlight, including tanning beds, when using this product. Discontinue treatment with this product if a skin reaction occurs. If the product is used on large areas of skin or for long periods of time, the risk of overall side effects increases. Please follow the dosage and do not exceed the maximum duration of treatment.
Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 25 °C in the original packaging to protect the product from light. Once opened, use within 12 months. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box and tube after "EXP". The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Do not use this product if you notice, for example, that it is. mechanically damaged inner packaging, or if the gel changes colour or odour. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
