Clamping force

Clamping force refers to the amount of pressure that the clamp is able to exert between its jaws. It is usually expressed in newtons (N) or kilograms (kg) and its size is crucial for a safe and efficient connection of materials. High clamping force is needed when gluing large surfaces or working with hardwoods, while finer work requires less pressure to avoid deformation or damage to the part. In addition to the clamp design itself, the type of mechanism and jaw material also affect the clamping force.
