Coffee is decaffeinated in a gentle way
Doubleshot Decaf Espresso coffee is grown on the Don Oscar farm, run by the sons of the founder Oscar, Alejandro and Horacio. It covers an area of 38 hectares and produces approximately 81 tonnes of green coffee each year. During the harvest season, the farm employs up to 90 people, mostly pickers from Panama, with 8 workers, including the owners, working on the farm outside the harvest season. Doubleshot Decaf Espresso coffee is decaffeinated in Germany using the gentle Sugar Cane Decaf method, which uses caffeine-binding sugar cane extract. The process of removing the caffeine will not adversely affect the taste of the coffee.
