The Drip it Colombia Sierra Nevada coffee bean comes from the farmers' association La Secreta, whose aim was originally to strengthen and support a group of 40 farmers living in the Magdalena region of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. The mountains offer one of the greatest biodiversity in the world. Ecosystem diversity, which include the hot beaches of the Caribbean Sea, dry forests, a jungle of lowland mist forests, high-altitude rainforests and snow-capped peaks of six-thousand-foot mountains, provide ideal conditions for growing coffee. Farmers are self-sufficient, growing crops for their own consumption, such as bananas, corn and avocado trees. AGROSEC growers are certified organic and Fairtrade. The Drip it Colombia Sierra Nevada coffee beans come in a bag with a one-way valve, which allows air to be forced out of the bag and prevents oxidation of the coffee even after opening the package.
