The Eaton UPS 3P Ellipse 1700 with USB FR backup power supply provides comprehensive power protection for computers and sensitive electronics. As an off-line UPS, it delivers an apparent power of 1700VA and a real power of 1040W. At full load, it powers connected devices for up to 1 minute, giving you plenty of time to save your work and perform a controlled shutdown. Its quiet operation, under 25dB, and slim tower design make it suitable for both office and home environments, where it won't disturb your concentration. This backup power supply also integrates a USB port for management and configuration via the Eaton UPS Companion software.

Performance and efficiency

This backup power supply operates with an efficient off-line topology, which powers devices directly from the mains during normal operation and reduces its own consumption. The efficiency at 100% load reaches 97%. The backup time at a full load of 1040W is up to 1 minute, providing enough of a time buffer to save your work and safely shut down systems, even during a longer power outage. The high efficiency contributes to lower operating costs.

Battery and protection features

The supply uses two maintenance-free 12V / 9Ah lead-acid batteries. The user can easily replace them, which reduces service costs and extends the overall life of the device. Integrated deep-discharge protection actively prevents damage to the batteries. The cold start function starts the UPS even without an input power supply, so you can turn on the device directly from the batteries for short-term use, for example.

Management and software

A communication USB port, compatible with the HID protocol, is used for management. This means automatic integration with common operating systems without needing to install drivers. For advanced functions, the Eaton UPS Companion software monitors energy consumption and displays the UPS status. The application also manages a safe system shutdown when the battery is critical and lets you configure the backup power supply settings.

Connectivity options

The input connection is handled by a standard C14 connector. For the output, the supply is fitted with a total of eight type E sockets. Four of them provide full battery backup with surge protection for critical devices. The remaining four sockets serve exclusively as surge protection for peripherals that do not require battery backup.
